Chat Node

The chat node is the core interactive element in Rabbithole Canvas, created by double-clicking on an empty canvas. It provides an interface for conversing with AI models and can connect to other nodes (image, file, YouTube, web, text) to incorporate external content into your conversations. Chat nodes include special functions like "Search" for web access, "System" for custom instructions, and "Think" for deeper reasoning in supported models.

Search Toggle

To connect your chat to real-time internet information:

1. Click on the search tab within your chat interface
2. Activate the web search functionality when prompted

This feature significantly enhances your AI conversations by providing access to current information beyond the AI's training data.

Think Toggle

To enable deeper analytical thinking in supported AI models:

1. Ensure you're using a reasoning-capable model (like DeepSeek Reasoning or Claude 3.7 Reasoning)
2. Click the "Think" icon at the bottom of your chat interface before sending your query

This feature transforms how the AI processes complex questions by engaging in more thorough analysis before responding.

System Toggle

System prompts serve as foundational instructions that shape your AI's communication style, reasoning approach, and response patterns throughout your entire conversation. Unlike regular prompts that address specific questions, system prompts establish persistent behavioral guidelines that influence how the AI interprets and responds to all your messages.
